Award-Winning Local Opticians

When you go to an optician, you will probably meet different people who carry out different roles in the practice.  But did you know that there are different roles within the opticians? We’re not all the same! The optician simply refers to either the person conducting your eye examination or the person fitting and measuring your spectacles. There are plenty of other people who are here to care about your eyes.

The person who conducts your eye examination inside the consulting room is called the Optometrist. They will be trying to get the right prescription for your eyes. You might be familiar with these people who test you to see whether you can read the letters on the eye charts at the end of the room.

On the other hand,  a Dispensing Optician is the lense expert who helps you to pick out your new spectacles outside the consulting room. This person is a professional in making sure you’re picking out the right glasses.
