We have many customers who really like designer sunglasses. They want to be able to buy them off the shelf, but can’t as they need assistance with their eyesight. Focus Medical Eye Centre are able to offer Maui Jim prescription sunglasses. So any customer who would like a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses can also have a prescription added to the lens which will then assist them in bright sunny weather as well as on holiday.

Prescription lenses cannot be put into all frames. If the prescription is too high or the frame is too curved, ie a wrap around then sometimes it wont work. But please speak with one of our opticians to find out more.

About Maui Jim

Maui Jim got its start in 1980 as a small company selling sunglasses on Ka’anapali beach in Lahaina, Maui. Seeing a need in the market for technology that could combat intense glare and harmful UV while bringing the brilliant colors of the island to life they engineered the revolutionary PolarizedPlus2® lens.

What began as a Classic Collection of seven styles, has evolved into over 125 styles of sunglasses. All of which are polarized and protect from 100% of UVA and UVB rays.

Their head office is located in Lahaina, Maui, and they still design and test all of their sunglasses there.
